I didn’t do art at school… School was an eternity ago but I did other things then. My first foray into art, or creating things, was to use someone else’s pattern for cross-stitch. It was ambitious then, but I still have it and love it. Then I went to a Flying arts workshop in the early 1990’s in the bush. It was a revelation, and the first time I learnt the benefits of tricking my brain into doing something, or trying. I have not stopped trying since.
I've since learnt, you don't have to 'do' art anywhere to be able to do it. You just have to be prepared to try and learn.
The images above are paintings I have done over the last ten years. Some are small, some are big, some worked well first time, most didn't but I kept going and learning and trying.
